G-Trans Service transport, logistics and industrial hub in Alatau City
An integrated platform for logistics, industry and international trade at the crossroads of key Eurasian transport corridors.
About the project
A single industrial and logistics ecosystem
G-Trans Service is developing a transport, logistics and industrial hub in Alatau City. The project brings together a container terminal, a logistics park, an industrial park, a general cargo terminal, a grain terminal and railway infrastructure.
The hub is being shaped as a single ecosystem for handling, storing, distributing and processing cargo, serving the markets of Kazakhstan, China, Central Asia, Europe, the Middle East and the Caucasus.
Key directions
Five directions in a single infrastructure
A full cycle — from container handling and cargo storage to industrial production on a single site.
Container terminal
Receiving, handling, storage and dispatch of container cargo, with the ability to form block trains and carry out customs clearance.
Learn moreLogistics park
Class A/A+ warehouse and distribution capacity, including cross-docking, fulfilment, cold storage and build-to-suit facilities.
Learn moreIndustrial park
A site for production, processing, assembly facilities and industrial residents.
Learn moreGeneral cargo terminal
Infrastructure for handling, storing and transshipping general, project and oversized cargo.
Learn moreGrain terminal
Infrastructure for receiving, storing, processing and shipping grain and agro-industrial cargo.
Learn moreStrategic location
A strategic location in Eurasia
The G-Trans Service hub is located in Alatau City, in the immediate vicinity of the Almaty agglomeration and Kazakhstan's key railway routes. The location provides access to routes to China, Central Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Türkiye and the Caucasus.
Proximity to Kazakhstan's largest consumer market and business centre.
Access to the key railway crossing on the border with China.
Integration with the main routes of international trade.
Development of freight flows bypassing the urban agglomeration.
Current implementation status
The project is in active implementation
Key design works have been completed, positive state expert reviews have been obtained for the railway infrastructure, and construction and installation works on the railway connections and the connecting track have begun.
Master plan
Royal HaskoningDHV developed the master plan for the transport and logistics zone; Industrial Pro developed the master plan for the industrial park.
Project documentation
Design and estimate documentation has been developed for the railway connections to the Zhetygen and Kairat stations and for the GTS connecting track.
State expert review
Positive state expert reviews have been obtained for the key railway infrastructure facilities.
Construction and installation works
Works began in June 2025: reconstruction of the 10 kV overhead line and fibre-optic links, earthworks over more than 4.5 km, and construction of the subgrade and track base.
Power supply
Design documentation and state expert review of the 5 MW, 10 kV external power supply line, about 9 km long, have been completed.
Financing
Applications for KZT 19.5 billion have been submitted to DBK and IDF: KZT 13 billion in borrowed funds and KZT 6.5 billion in equity.
External infrastructure
External supporting infrastructure
The G-Trans Service hub is one of the key growth points of Alatau City. The development of external engineering and transport infrastructure is synchronised with the project implementation and the city's development plans.
