The transport, logistics and industrial hub in the Almaty region is a large-scale project, where three interconnected functional zones are provided within the framework of a single complex – container terminal, warehouse and industrial zones. As of today, the World Bank experts have prepared a report that formed the basis of the Hub concept. Taking into account the criteria strategically important for the development of the Hub, a land plot with an area of 558 hectares was determined, which is located at a short distance from the metropolis, the city of Almaty (30 km), along the main railway, between two Zhetygen and Kairat railway stations. This section is located near the junction of the bypass and the intersection of the three main directions of the main railway.
The World Bank’s 2023 report uses the Almaty Hub as an example and indicates that it can contribute to the creation of local and national growth poles, creating additional added value for Kazakhstan. In such a way, the logistics hub in Almaty can provide additional carrying capacity in the amount of at least 9.8 million tons. In the absence of such a consolidator in the Almaty Oblast, a significant part of these cargoes (primarily to Central Asia and Iran) will not pass through the territory of Kazakhstan, the report notes.

Railway Terminals
The G-Trans-Service rail road terminal is located in a strategic transportation hub. This fact facilitates access to the key major traffic routes and important industrial regions. The terminal provides an easy access to the core markets and optimizes the logistics flows. The terminal ensures multimodal cargo traffic, including transportation of containerized cargos, car loads, over-the-road-shipments and mixed loads. A team of logistics experts are always ready to render support and assistance in solving any issues related to the multimodal and railway transportation

Warehouse Area
The premises will be equipped with modern security systems, including video surveillance, guarding and efficient access control systems. Cargo owners will be able to monitor every phase and will receive detailed information of the goods received and shipped. Specialized software will allow them to keep trace of the goods within the warehouse and monitor their condition. The G-Trans Service warehouses are designed in compliance with the high safety and quality standards and are to be provided with the cutting edge equipment. The cargos will be stored at the warehouses in a controlled environment protected from any unauthorized access.

Industrial Zone
The spacious modern industrial zones are being designed to accommodate manufacturing enterprises. The requisite upstream infrastructure will be created, as well as conditions required for business development and successful achievement of production objectives will be created.
The access to all the required utility systems is being designed, such as power and water supply, sewage, ventilation and air conditioning systems. These will ensure an efficient operation of manufacturing processes and comfortable conditions for the personnel.
